REPORT: OUR PLEDGE TO CIRCULARITY AND OCEAN CONSERVATION

At Oofty, we are committed to promoting circularity and combating ocean pollution. We recognize the importance of sustainability and environmental responsibility, and we strive to make a positive impact in our community and beyond.

Our pledge to circularity includes encouraging our clients to adopt sustainable practices and reduce their environmental footprint. We provide advisory services that support circularity in the mobile identity industry, such as designing solutions that minimize waste, prioritize low energy data centers, and optimize codes to reduce gas emissions.

In addition to our commitment to circularity, we are also dedicated to combating ocean pollution. As a Los Angeles-based company, we are aware of the impact that pollution and waste can have on our local ecosystem, particularly in the ocean. We support initiatives that promote ocean conservation and work towards reducing plastic pollution in our oceans. We believe that protecting our oceans is essential for preserving our planet and the well-being of future generations. We participate on regular basis to trash pick up on LA beaches and some of our profits are donated to a local association, Heal the Bay.

Our pledge to circularity and ocean conservation is not just a corporate responsibility, but a personal one as well. We encourage our team members to adopt sustainable practices in their daily lives and to participate in local initiatives that promote environmental protection and conservation.

At Oofty, we believe that by working together, we can create a better future for ourselves and for generations to come. We are committed to promoting circularity and ocean conservation in the mobile identity industry and beyond.

Here are some best practices we follow and promote

  1. Minimize energy consumption: Mobile identity software should be designed to minimize energy consumption, which can help reduce greenhouse gas emissions. This can include optimizing code, reducing unnecessary data transfers, and using low-power modes when the device is idle.

  2. Aim to reduce paper waste: Mobile identity software should be designed to minimize paper waste, such as by enabling digital signatures, using electronic forms, and providing online documentation instead of printed manuals. We also advocate to accelerate the digitalization of governments and administrations

  3. Remote work: we encourage and enable remote work across our collaborators and customers, which can reduce the need for commuting and therefore reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

  4. Educate customers and employees: Raise awareness about ocean pollution and encourage customers and employees to take actions that can help combat it, such as reducing plastic waste, supporting ocean conservation initiatives, and participating in beach cleanups.

  5. Implement eco-friendly practices in the workplace: Adopt sustainable practices in the workplace, such as reducing energy consumption, using eco-friendly cleaning products, and providing recycling bins for all waste streams.

  6. Last, we participate every quarter in beach cleanups: we participate in our local community to remove plastic waste and other pollutants from the ocean and its beaches.
